Is MAT exam worth ??

MAT is one of the national level exam and its score is accepted by many of the top management institutes.

Also the good part of MAT exam is the past academic records are not considered in each and every institute. Also you should aim at scoring a percentile 90 above to get into decent management institutes though below this percentile you have stilll admissions option open.

The answer depends on where you want to join. Most of best colleges do not accept MAT and value of MAT landslides after the introduction of CMAT. But there are colleges like Christ, BIMTECH which consider MAT score for admission. For placement purpose, the institute may ask to fill scores of entrance other than CAT, it is an optional column and not have much value still, it is an added advantage if you have good MAT/CMAT/XAT score.
