The TNEA 2022 counselling process will be organised by the authority solely for the candidates who made the short list. The counselling procedure will be performed entirely online. There will be just one window for counselling. To engage in the counselling, candidates must download their call letters online. The counselling procedure will include a number of procedures, such as paying fees, verifying documents, allocating seats, etc. Counseling will be divided into categories.

For those who fall under the reserved group, counselling will begin on August 16 and for those who fall under the general category, on August 22. The seats will be assigned based on the candidates' ranking on the merit list. The seat distribution will be made public in October 2022.
