Is preparation of bank exam and CAT exam possible to do parellel
Hi Lovish
As for the syllabus part, there is some similarity between the bank PO exam and CAT exam but in fact, they both are quite different exams. In CAT both the level and complexity is a bit higher.
For the preparation part, yes you can prepare for both exams side by side, but it is that you have to study some more variety of questions for CAT. Moreover, you have to set your priority. If you are serious about the CAT exam then you have to give more hours to it.
However there are many colleges that do not require to have a CAT score. So, you can apply for those colleges which have their own enterence exams. JK Lakhsmipat University asks applicants to appear in the JKLU Management Entrance Test (MET) to qualify for their competitive MBA programme.
This way you can solve the tussle between prepration of your Bank exam and CAT preparation.

Hope this serves the porpose.
* Cat mainly focus on the concept more whereas banking exam is more about speed.
* Cat doesn't have gk or ga section whereas it is a deciding factor in banking exam.
* Competition in CAT is comparatively very less as in banking exam for instance average aspirants in CAT are 2 lakhs and in banking are 10 lakhs.
So basically if you want to excel in both fields you have to work hard on concepts first and then work on speed with regular touch of gk and ga.
All the best!!!
