Is rmk collge of engineering and technology too strict?

As per reviews, there are so many rules in the college, some of them are as follows
You are not allowed to go to restrooms without permission of teachers.
You cannot come to college by your own vehicle, you can come only by bus.
You ard not allowed to wear jeans.
Clean shave is must otherwise your ID card will be siezed.
No use of mobile phones, if you get caught then you will get suspension of 1 week.
Boys and girls are not allowed to talk to each other.
Outside food is not allowed.
You will be given 10 moms break and 30 Mins lunch break, not more than this.
10 study holidays are given for preparation of exam, if you get failed then you have to come during holidays
You cannot go for leave, if you took holiday then next day your first two periods will get waste in writing apology letters to HOD.
You are not allowed to go out of college during class hours.

Parents and visitors are permitted to meet their children/wards only after the college working hours and after taking permission from the principal. Students are expected to use courteous and polite language with members of the staff and maintain decorum in the campus and outside. They are expected to conduct themselves in such a way, so as to bring a good name for the college wherever they are.
The Indian Overseas Bank, Kavaraipettai(Code no:0622) has been providing banking facilities at the college for the benefit of staff and students. All students are advised to open a savings account in the bank. The parents are advised to carry out all the financial transactions to their wards directly through the savings accounts/DDs only.
- College will normally work for 8 hours from 8.30 a.m.
- Students are required to be regular and punctual to the classes.
- Students should be seated in the lecture halls 5 minutes before the commencement of the class.
- Students should maintain perfect order and strict silence inside the lecture/drawing halls/ labs/ workshop at all times.
- Movement outside the classroom in between lectures should be minimum and for valid reasons only.
- They should bring calculators everyday and drawing instruments and charts whenever needed. They should avoid borrowing them in the college from other students or try to procure them after coming to college. Observation notebooks should be brought to the laboratory classes.
- Record of experiments done in a particular class should be submitted in the next laboratory class.
- Cell phone is strictly prohibited in campus.

No college is too strict for the students, all the colleges have similar rules to which should be followed by the student for a smooth relation between college administration and the student. Some basic rules of the college are:
1. Students should not carry mobile phones in the campus
2. Students should maintain minimum 80% attendance.
3. Students are advised to be not late in the classes

Yes, it is heard that this college is strict but strictness is sometimes needed to improve students.
Pros:
- Teachers are highly skilled and can enlighten us greatly.
- They arrange for guest lectures often and from which we can gain a lot of knowledge.
- A lot of placement training is given.
