Hi,

Assuming you are asking this for JEE Counseling. For NITs, the seat allotment is done on three factors.

1. Gender

2. Home State.

3. Rankings -(CRL & Category Ranking)

For IITs ,IIITs, and GFTIs the Counseling depend on Ranking and Gender.
