Is taking a drop after class 12 in this covid thingy good?? As in only 6months will be lost.. That's just a semester I guess.. so.. is it good?

Its a personal choice when it comes to a life threatening issue.
but since you asked it, I would like to put up my point of view on this.
I wouldn't suggest to drop out, even if it is "Just a semester". Because, all we need now is, we have to get the graduation asap. Because already we all are seeing people losing jobs. Almost everywhere. So before this gets much and much worse, we must get a job and prove our worth and stay there for a survival.
Now job is not just about vacancy, its more than that including a skill and knowledge based entry. Si i suggest you to continue without a dropout and make the best out of the available Little time.

But, I seriously don't think I can make it into a good college now.. taking a year drop may get me a good college?

It might not make a difference in placements as long as you have skills. Taking a gap and having good marks in entrance will make you get good college though. but, i suggest you to take up any (interested) course in a good college which you will get and prepare for exam and then if u get a good college with your fav course, then it will be the best decision (atleast acc to me). Isnt this good one? join a college, and leave it if you get a great college next yr.
