Is the aiims open round worth attending if I have a rank of approx 5000?

Your AIIMS rank is less to qualify it. You need to score more than 50 percentile.

the qualifying percentile 98.12, mine is greater so iknow for a fact that i am eligible; All i am asking is if i have a chance of getting any seat in any aiims if i do end up attending open round.

Even I am attending and my rank is 5k+ and UR category. I am not hoping for a seat but I want to see AIIMS Delhi and just to experience the process.

We will be honest and not sugarcoat things for you. AIIMS has a total of 1205 seats out of which 612 seats belong to General Category. Ideally if your score is more than the qualifying score, you should be getting a seat. But given the available seats to no.of candidates in waiting, that is unlikely to happen. And with a rank of 5000 approximately, your chances are much lesser. There are a total of 99 seats available for General Category in Open Round. They are as follows:
AIIMS Bhubaneswar: 2
AIIMS Bhopal: 8
Bathinda: 2
Deogarh: 19
Gorakhpur:3
Jodhpur: 1
Kalyani: 11
Guntur: 9
Nagpur: 10
Patna: 10
Rae Bareli: 9
Raipur:2
Rishikesh:5
Telangana: 8
The cut off rank for General Category in varipus rounds has been as follows:
Round 1: 1322
Round 2: 1718
Round 3: 2015
Looking at these numbers, the cut off rank for Open rpund for General Category might stop at below 4000. So unfortunately, the chances are poor.
