Is there an scope of general MBA?
Dear Student,
This is a very good question and it will have a very wide theories on it but to make it simple for you - A student enrolled in an MBA in General Management program, learn all the aspects of being a manager. The program usually doesn’t focus on a specific industry, giving students the ability to choose their own specialty classes.
In my opinion, student should select the college which provide dual specialization in second year like IILM University, Gurugram gives you the freedom to choose electives from more than one domain in second year. So a student can choose electives as per his interest, skills and future aspirations. That really helps you at the time of the placements, as you can target companies from different sectors and different profiles as well. Anyways when you step up the corporate ladder, you are required to perform more than one function at a time. So in that scenario knowledge of two different domains really helps..
Hope this help!
Hey!
Candidate with General MBA has a vast range of opportunities as he/she is not bound to get jobs only in finance sector. He/she can apply in any other sector of economy where administration is required such as construction, oil and gas, consulting, finance, data analytics, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and many more.
Hope it helped to clear your delimma.
