Is there any 1 year course for fashion designing? If so, I just want to know fee structure and course details.
But
It is difficult to say and education and choice of study are a little more of a gamble than we usually think. I suggest asking yourself and the program a few questions. Going to a Parsons or FIT is very expensive and has there is little guarantee of success.
Are you 100% planning on working for a fashion company as an assistant designer? That is the main job prospect, though there are others. There are also a lot of other jobs in fashion that are interesting. So you might want to expand your search.
Is the program reputable and will the diploma count toward any actual college credit hours? Do you already have a degree and this is more of a continuing ed course? Will any of it transfer to another school if you want to continue?
Does the program have good placement options for internships? This is a great place to get on the inside of the barrier and meet potential employers.
Fashion design is very hard and isn't what most people think it is. With companies like Zara doing great tops at medium prices, a lot of the companies you want to work for are going out of business or at least reducing staff. Starting your own line is a killer. Without money behind it, it is very hard to succeed. You will likely have to move to where the jobs are. That could mean New York, but not necessarily. Salaries can really vary and your expenses can be super high in places like NYC and LA. So you have to really love it.
No one can make the decision for you, and that is why looking hard at what opportunities the specific program really offers is so important
