Is there any exam after graduation to become a govt teacher?

After graduation you have to take an entrance exam called CTET and TET. CTET became a compulsory certificate for selection as a teacher. This exam is mandatory and asked for job in both private and government schools. You can get job in following schools/colleges:

1. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti
2. Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti
3. Army public school
4. State government college
5. Private college

But to become a government teacher without TET(Teacher Eligibility Test) certificate it is impossible.

In order to become a government school teacher, you should apply for Teacher training courses such as NTT/ BTC/ BEd  etc., The exam which is commonly needed to be passed is Teacher Eligibility Test. You need to qualify this exam. These are conducted by central or straight government. Now, the educational qualification depends upon the level of the teacher which you want to become. Whether it's a teacher of primary stage ( classes 1-5 ) or elementary stage ( classes 6-8 ) or higher secondary teacher. TET is followed by further written examinations and interview.
