Ideally, MCI regulated that the disability certificate should be from any of the disability assessment centres. The list is available at MCC official website. But now you can get the certificate from a District Medical College but the assessment has to be done by a team of Doctors from the Disability Assessment Centers. You can get examined at any Government Medical College/ District Hospital/Government Hospital. Such Institutions shall issue a Disability certificate. After selection under PWD Category, candidates should produce a Disability certificate issued by the Disability Assessment Board. The DAB eill assess the Candidate in reference with the criteria prescribed by NMC. So once the results have been declared, it is important to be assessed by the DAB. If the DAB considers the Candidate ineligible for PWD reservation, such Candidates cannot register for Counselling.
