Is there any weightage of 10+2 marks in kcet exam?
Yes there is a weigtage for class 12th exam for KCET. First, is about appearing in KCET. To appear in KCET exam, you need to have 45% aggregate marks (General category) in class 12th (40% for reserved category). Secondly, class 12th marks are given a 50% weighatge for preparing the merit/rank list of KCET.
The merit list of the candidates in KCET will be prepared based on the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in KCET exam along with the marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination or class 12th in the ration of 50:50. So your performance in class 12th as well as that in KCET exam both will equally matter for your merit/rank list.
Hello Dinesh,
The KCET Merit List will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam (KCET 2018) and marks obtained in PCM combination in the qualifying examination. Equal weightage will be given to both.
Regards.
