Is there is any possible way to get admission in NIT's other than GATE?

All Nit(national institute of technology) select candidates for mtech admissions through a procedure called CCMT .
This is a centralized procedure followed by all NIT's .
CCMT allots a seat in an college to the candidate based on gate score and his/her locked preferences in the CCMT form.
There is not other way to get mtech admission in NIT .
