Is there is reservation for women candidates
Answer (1)
Dear Student,
- In NEET or in the admission process, there is no clear reservation for girls and every candidate is considered equal in their eyes as they believe and support the motto of gender equality but there are some category-wise reservation as they are not changed since the independence of our nation, they are in action since the independence and thus there are certain casts/categories which are considered reserved.
- These reserved categories are SC-Scheduled Castes, ST-Scheduled Tribes, and OBC-Other Backward Classes.
-
In which, there are certain reservations like 10% to 20% of seats are reserved for these categories.
- Also, they have a reduced application fee as well which is half then the UR-Unreserved or General Category. for example, if the UR candidate has the application fees of 1500 then these reserved category candidates have the application fee of 750.
-
Also at the time of choice filling as well as verification to admission, they have the cost reduced to half than the General Candidates.
- Also, there are Physically handicapped or PH candidates which also have 5% to 20% seats in each category as well and they may also have some costs reduced or even no cost at all in some procedures.
-
You also may have observed that the Cutoffs are basically mentioned of any college have one thing in common which is General or UR candidates have the highest cutoffs to get admission and next in line is SC and then OBC and the next is ST and so on.
- But do not get confused that there is no reservation for marks or cutoffs but certain category students may have certain cutoffs and based on that principle most colleges have to have this kind of phenomenon.
-
Also, the Eligibility Criteria is also less due to their corresponding Categories.
-
For your information, the qualifying Cutoofs of NEET 2019 are as follows:
-
General or UR Candidates: 130 to 701
-
UR-PH: 120 to 133
-
SC: 120 to 133
-
SC-PH: 107 to 133
-
ST: 120 to 133
-
ST-PH: 107 to 133
-
OBC: 120 to 133
-
OBC-PH: 107 to 133
-
But as far as your question is concerned there is no reservation for girls but however there are certain scholarships, schemes, and policies as well as other terms to help the girls grow in their respective fields and get their standard of education as well as skills up to the higher level for a better understanding of the world in order to have a better life-style and livelihood; if you want information or if you have another question, query, problem, issue or doubt about NEET, JIPMER, AIIMS, Admission and Verification Process or any other question or topic; you just need to ask a question as a separate query.
I Consider your query has been solved.
ALL THE BEST!!
