    Yes there is a single common merit rank (CMR) for entering into both Bdes and BFTECH (NIFT) courses . Fashion technology is a growing trend nowadays and bdes is the course where you atleast know some freehand line drawing and fashion designing leads to the design of clothes and sending it to the market according to trends.

    Thank U very much . Please can you clear one doubt . That is , how the situation test mark will be added to the written   test result of Bdes  for ranking , where in BFTech course  ranking already published.

    After the result of situation test mark is published, a rank will be given to you which you may consider as updated rank but while entering into bftech or bdes you will be asked to show the initial rank only.  If they want they may ask for the updated one too.
