Dear Student,
Every institute/university has its own rule, some are conducting entrance exam and some are creating the merit list on the basis of 12th percentage in respective course. To get admission in IIT you still need to give the entrance exam like Thapar University, BITSAT, and Delhi University too, but still mostly colleges conducting entrance exam, you can take part in that and choose your course according to your interest.
