No you can appear for it only if you have interest in architecture to take admisssion in the B.Arch programme.

JEE Main Paper II is for admission to B.Arch courses only. If you are seeking admission to B.Tech courses, you need to simply appear in Paper I.

Candidates who qualify JEE Main Paper 2 are considered for admission at NITs, SPAs, and IIITs.

However, B.Arch candidates need to appear in paper I ifor admission in IITs. Once the candidate qualifies Paper I, the candidate has to appear in the AAT test before he/she will get admission into an IIT.
