To apply for the JEE Advanced Examination, it is necessary for one to first qualify JEE Main Exam which is held in the month of January and April (which is now postponed to September). After the results are out for JEE Main, students are selected to appear for JEE Advanced on the basis of their score in JEE Main exam. The registration process begins generally around 1st May (which is now around 18-20 September). The registration process continues for 8-10 days. The students are asked to login on the JEE Adv portal using their Mains’ credentials. Then they are required to verify their details and upload some documents. After this is done, one has to pay the required application fee. After successful payment of the application fee, one is considered registered for JEE Adv exam and then (s)he can appear for the exam as per details mentioned in his/ her admit card.
