As per the news JEE Advanced will be online from 2018. There is no news regarding the change paper pattern.

There is no complete information available on this from JAB so far. However, they are not going to do away with MCQs, but are planning to incorporate some short-answer type questions, concept-based questions also. As per some officials from the JAB, changes in exam pattern are expected. It's a wait a watch situation till something clear and concrete comes up. For more details, click on the link below.

Presently, there is no clarity on the kind of questions that will be asked in JEE Advanced 2018.
