Hello,
It really depends you and what you want to do. Generally BSc can be done from any decent college and the only eligibility criteria is to have the required cutoff in your boards. Now, if want to get admission in IISER(Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) then you need to score a decent rank in JEE Mains or KVPY.
Having said that it is not really that compulsory but I would suggest you to take the exam once as who knows you might get into a good government colleges.
Hope it helps,
Good luck.
Hi Abhay,
No, not necessarily.
If you wish to get admission in Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) or Indian Institute of Science (IISc), you will need high score in JEE Mains.
Also if you wish to persue B.Sc. from any of the IITs or NITs then a good JEE score is a must. But if you wish to take admission in other colleges, then you do not need to necessarily appear for JEE. You will need your class 12th boards exam marks for admission and check the cutoff of the college in which you wish to take admission.
Hope this help!
Elsewise at most of the places either admission is given on basis of class 12 marks or institutions have their own exam to provide admission.
I hope this helps.
Regards
Madhur
