For studying in IITs jee mains is just an qualifying exam, which you just need to qualify with any rank. After that you need to get good rank in jee advanced for getting seat in IITs. So, for your case if by getting 2lakh rank you qualify mains, then it is good and get 1000 in advanced then, it is best. So you will get IIT based on your jee advanced rank 1000.
