JEE needs maths so how can a PCB student do b.tech in biotechnology from there ?

As PCB students deal with Physics, Chemistry, Biology. They can't opt to study Biotechnology in IIT or NIT because JEE is only meant for mathematic background students with MPC in their intermediate studies.

If you want to study Biotechnology in IITs or NITs you need to study mathematics as a sidetrack with PCB or else you can take PCBM in your intermediate.

Apart from JEE, you can attempt university exams that offer you B.Tech/ BE in Biotechnology such as SRM, LPU, etc.

For studying BTech in any branch you must have PCM in your 12th standard , that's the minimum eligibility.Because even if you want to pursue BTech in Biotechnology,in the first year courses for all the branches are common and there you need Maths knowledge of class 12.And the JEE entrance has Maths section which is mandatory,so a non Maths student can't study BTech.Rather you can go for BSc. in Biotechnology if you didn't have Maths in 12th.
