Hi Yuvaraja, generally 12 lakhs camdidates give jee mains exam and from there, only 2.2 lakhs are eligible for jee advance. Hence, your required percentile is:
(12,00,000-2,20,000)*100/12,00,000
=81.67 percentile
your percentile should be above 81.67 percentile to qualify JEE Mains.
Jee has not declared any particular percentile cutoff for jee main 2019 yet though a rough estimation on the basis of previous year's cutoffs of NITs or IIITs is made i.e., you need to score more than 85% to get admission into colleges affiliated to Jee Mains and more than 97% to get admission into NITs.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
