JIPMER MBBS Puducherry quota. I am an ex servicemen, resident of MAHE. . Is my daughter eligible for Puducherry Ex servicemen quota?

As per the seat reservation policy of JIPMER, a total of 60 seats in JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal are reserved for Puducherry residents. Out of which 31 seats are available for the unreserved category candidates of Puducherry. There is no specific quota for Puducherry Ex-servicemen. You can check below the requirements that need to be fulfilled by the candidates to become eligible for the Puducherry Residents Quota-

• Candidate or candidate’s parent/s are residing in the Union territory for at least five years just before the release of the application form. In this case, candidates must have a Permanent Integrated Certificate issued by the Department of Revenue & Disaster Management or by the administrative (tehsil/taluk) office concerned.

or

• Candidate must have completed Class 10 from the union territory and have also completed five years of continuous study preceding the Class 12. In this case, it is also required of candidates to be a resident of Puducherry for five years.

or

• Candidate’s parent/s should be an employee of Puducherry Government, Central Government posted and serving in the Puducherry Union Territory for at least a minimum continuous period of three years immediately prior to the last date of submission of application . Candidate, in this case, must have completed Class 12 from an institution located in Puducherry and has studied for two successive years.

or

• Candidate whose either of the parent was a Defence Personnel/Central Paramilitary Force killed or disabled in action and who has declared Puducherry as his/her hometown will be eligible.

If you qualify for any one of the above-mentioned criteria then your daughter will be eligible for Puducherry Residents Quota.
