kindly guide me on MRCPCH... exams to be given and study material
Hey Sunita,
MRCPH is an important component of training for paediatricians in the UK. It is formed according to the UK curriculum and is approved by the General Medical Council (GMC) which meets the required standards.
Paediatricians can become the members of the RCPCH and achieve the designation MRCPCH once they have passed all four separate postgraduate medical exams, which are:
- Foundation of Practice (FOP) - theory exam
- Theory and Science (TAS) - theory exam
- Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) - theory exam
- MRCPCH Clinical exam
Here are some book reccomendations for MRCPH exams:
- Essential revision notes in pediatrics for MRCPH by Mark Beattie and Mike Champion (Most important book for MRCPCH)
- Basic medical sciences for MRCPH by Phillipa J Easterbrook
- Paul Gaon: Paediatric Exams A Survival Guide ( A must read)
- Illustrated text book of pediatrics Tom Lissauer (must for beginners)
- The science of Paediatrics MRCPCH Mastercourse
Hope this was helpful,
Thank You.
