The marks required to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like top nits always depends upon the toughness of the exam paper .
But still on an average to get top national institute with core branches you need to score more than 230 marks .

If you want to qualify for admissions to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, you should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th exam conducted by the respective boards.

And if you belong to SC/ST, then the eligibility criteria is 65% marks in class 12th.

For getting top NITs you need to score at least 200+(tentative) similarly for IITs you need to score a good amount of marks in JEE Advanced.
