The college has a government ownership, and is accredited by NAAC and was established in the year 1982, the college offers 14 courses, BBA, MCom, BCOm, Bsc- physics, chemistry and mathematics, BSc- physics, mathematics and computer science, BA- history, Economics and Library science, BA- History, Economics and optional kannada, MA sociology etc.
