It depends on your capability & your academic stream also both are the good programmes & has scope in its field. History is generally viewed as a non-vocational subject. After completing this you can go for the profession as a teacher & research programme also.

After completing MA with Economics also you have ample opportunities like you can go as a Economist. The career in Economics has widened tremendously in the last two decades because of globalization and rapid economic development.
