B.Ftech is the most sought after course in NIFT.
NIFT selected 360 candidates for B.Ftech offering 30 seats in each of the 12 NIFT campuses, namely - Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Kannur, Patna, Jodhpur, Bengaluru, Bhubhaneshwar, Kangra and Gandhinagar.
Of these 360 seats, the reservation was as follows
27% for Non-Creamy OBC
20% for domicile
15% NRI
15% SC
7.5% ST
5% For differently-abled
Rest of the seats were available for general category candidates.
