Yes you can appear for JEE-Advance 2023 only if you have passed your class 12th this year i.e. in 2022 otherwise not.

This is because the maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Advance is 2 in 2 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that. Similarly for JEE-Main maximum attempts allowed for JEE-Main is 3 in 3 consecutive years, first attempt in the passing year of class 12th or equivalent examination and second attempt in very next year to that followed by third attempt in third year.

Let me tell you that jee mains can be attempted consecutively only three times in three years whereas for jee advanced you can give only two times consecutively in two years.

For example, if you have passed your 12th in year 2022 , you can give jee mains in the year 2022,2023 and 2024 and for jee advanced you can give in the year 2022 and 2023.
