See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are General candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 98+ percentile in JEE-Main 2021 for top NITs and for average NITs 95+ percentile will also be the decent score . See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. - Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
- GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile

JEE Main cutoff for top NITs will be released by the JoSAA authorities in online mode.
There are certain factors that determines the cut-off :
- Number of applicants in JEE Main
- Number of seats available for admission
- Difficulty level of JEE Main
- Previous year cutoff trends
- Category under which admission is desired
To get into Top NIT's your expected rank should be below 10k (though it depends on reservation) and to get into other NIT's your rank should be in the range of 10k - 50k.
