maryan era land revenue amount
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great. It seems like you are asking about the Mauryan era. Bhaga was the principal source of revenue, and it was collected at a rate of one-fourth to one-sixth of the total revenue. Sharecroppers who were awarded crown lands and other agricultural aid by the state were required to pay the state half of their harvest. Pindikara was a tax levied on groups of villages, which was collected by husbandmen.
- Peasants used to pay one-sixth of total produce as tax which was also called as Bhaga.
