You need to pass math in tenth and knowledge of math till tenth is essential for you to solve numerical problems in physics during your class eleven and twelve. Also concepts are required for bio statistics during MBBS.

If you are in 10th then it is required & if you've taken pcmb in 12th then also it is compulsory as you need to clear your 12th..
For neet eligibility you just need 50% (UR) & for other category 40%.

General eligibility criteria 2018 to study medicalis as follows-

Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English. The candidates belonging to General Category should score a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 or HSC examination.

Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes (OBC) should score a minimum of 40% in their Class 12 or HSC examination.
