See, UPSC exam is one of the most presigious exam, and more or less its syllabus is somewhat similar to state level UPSC. There are some common subject that you need to study for both these exams.

So, both these exams are wonderful in their own way.

Now, coming to your question, it's entirely upto you, which way you want to go, one thing might help you is if you prefer to stay in MP, then go for MPPSC, otherwise try for UPSC.

But, remember one thing always, these exams are conducted in such a manner that it spans over a period of time, it takes time, I cannot specifically say about MPPSC, although it's like any other state level exam for service commision. More or less time duration of conducting it remains the same.

UPSC, takes one year of preparation and another year of participating in the exam, so if you're really clear about this, just go for this.

Whatever, you do, you need to persist and have patience for both UPSC and MPPSC.
