The companies conduct several tests and interviews for selecting.

So you have to perform very good here.

Also you need to maintain cgpa of seven or higher in college.

Don't take too much depression,  each and every company has a different criteria for placements. It is true that most of these companies place a bar line at 70%,  but this is applicable to most of the companies that come for direct placement. There are some companies which don't care if your class 12th marks. So you will definitely get a company who can give you a direct placement even without considering your class 12th marks.

Generally majority of companies coming for campus drive set a minimum of 60% marks in 10,12 and btech. So, you may miss them. Even the good companies set up still higher cutoff.  But, there are companies which will allow you to sit for interviews.  It depends on college and company.
