Chances seem low for conversion at all IITs since top 1500 ranks have decentchances.
However incase cutoff dips this year you can have good chances for IIT like Palakkad, Tirupati, Dharwad, Ropar.
The preparatory rank is different from Jee Advanced rank.
Preparatory course is purely residential and admissions to regular Btech course shall commence from 2019.
