minimum land required for State Private University

Hi Guru,

For establishest a state private University by following the Acts of state or central government with the guidence of the UGC.

Some of the Central or State Acts for establishing a state private University ate

A society registered under society registration Act 1860

A company registered under Company Registration Act of 2013

A public trust registered under the  Trust Act of 1882

The Land required for setting a state private University is 25 Acres if it is Multiple domain and 10 Acres if it is a single domain.

Land requirement has changed for different states. Recently Punjab government has amended the Punjab private University policy of 2010 and changed the Land requirement to 25 Acres from 30 Acres.
