Hi,
Counselor: Hi Tom! How are you? My name is Mr. Satyam Singh. I'm going to be your session counselor today.
Tom: Hi, nice meeting you.
Counselor: Likewise! Now tell me how I can help you.
Tom: Mr Satyam, I am very stressed out about my studies I can't sleep and sometimes I even loose track of my work.It contributes to many problems like headache, stomach ache, short temperature and difficulty concentrating. Most of all stress eating too.
Counselor: Calm down that's not a big issue every college student I meet has to deal with this.
Tom: That may be right ,but I feel this constant need to keep up.
Counselor:What's your emotional situation?
Tom:I've enough support from my family and friends, but that's the main issue I don't feel pressured never have my parents forced me to get good scores never pushed me soo hard to go well, they are just happy with what I do ,and I get that ,but I don't know why I feel this everlasting unintentional stress from my own self. I feel like I have soo much to prove and do, for example I want to give time to my hobbies and studies but sometimes I think I get to involved in my own goal that I forget to not take stress and start eating too much also.
Councellor: Get get it 100% l, you are too hard on yourself ,you don't have anything to prove to the world but you have to prove yourself that you are best at what you do and I totally get the problem here all I will suggest you is to take a few days off, you would also think that being unproductive will not benifit you but sometimes you just have to let things go and just still and introspect what your aim is what you can and are willing to do. Basically I want you to relax and not think too much about the future , you should plan fo rthe future in present but not worry for the future right now.
Tom: Thank you so much for your advice. I'm going to think about that.
