No , you don't need to clear both jee mains and advance unless you want to get into iit for your btech degree. Even if you clear jee mains with good marks , then also you can get into good engineering colleges like NITs but if your aim is to get into iit bombay or any of the iit then you need to qualify jee advance as well after qualifying jee mains, one more thing is that only top 2.2 lakh students who clear jee mains are selected to appear for jee advance. There are many entrance exams other than jee like wbjee , VITEEE, you can give these as well. To know about them go through https://engineering.careers360.com/exams
