The percentile of 40 in MHT CET even with NTB category, it is very unlikely that you will get a top tier college for computer branch as it is very competitive and often requires percentile around 85.

You should consider colleges that offer direct admission like:

• Jaihind College of Engineering
• Alard Group of Institution
• Singhad College of Engineering
• DY Patil College of Engineering

The colleges mentioned above provide direct admission based on basic criteria which is 50% or above in 12th class with PCM subjects.

Getting a computer-related branch in top Pune colleges like COEP, VIT Pune, or PICT is not possible, as their cut-offs are much higher (above 90 percentile).

But you can get admission in some private colleges where the cut-off is low. Here are some options:

1. PCCOE (Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering), Pune – You have a fair chance of getting Computer or IT branch here in the last CAP round.

2. PCCOER (Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and Research), Ravet – Also a good option with low cut-offs. Chances are good for Computer or IT branch.

3. Parvatibai Genba Moze College of Engineering (PGMCOE), Pune – Chances are low for Computer branch here, as cut-offs are high.

So, you can apply to PCCOE and PCCOER till the last CAP round. You may get a computer-related branch there. Avoid top colleges, as the score is too low for them.
