If there is a gap of 4 years in 10th and 12th marksheets i.e., 2 years is trivial that had to be and a extra gap of 2 two years, then it will not create any problem during JEE Main and admission to NITs/IIITs.
But if you clear JEE Main and want to go for JEE Advanced and admission to IITs then you will not be able to do so. Because the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced does not allows to do so. And in that case, you will no be satisfying JEE Advanced eligibility criteria and thus, will not be able to appear for JEE Advanced.
