My Category Rank is 45585 in jee main can I expect a NIT College for a core branch? I belong to Maharashtra.

Your rank is decent but please mention us your category to get an accurate answer of your question. Now if you are from general category then in Maharashtra you can get a decent NIT in instrumental engineering, metallurgy, or civil engineering is possible if you are from obc-ncl category. You mentioned your category rank as 45,585 but you didn't mention your category whether you are GEN, SC, ST or OBC.

For an NIT in Maharashtra, say NIT Nagpur, you can get Metallurgy & Mining engineering at around 36,000 GEN rank. Hope that helps.
