my class 12 leaving certificate and migration certificate laminated because of safty reason and i read about iit physical documents verification process is very strict they can submit or not my laminated lc or migration certificate
Hi,
You don't need to worry too much about this. Many students laminate important documents like their Leaving Certificate and Migration Certificate to keep them safe, and in most cases, colleges and IITs accept them without any issue.
What matters is that:
-
The documents are original.
-
All the details, signatures, stamps, and seals are clearly visible.
-
The lamination hasn't damaged or hidden any part of the document.
IITs are indeed strict about document verification, but they're mainly checking whether the documents are genuine and match the information you've provided. A laminated certificate by itself is usually not a problem.
Just make sure you carry:
-
The original laminated certificates
-
A few photocopies
-
Soft copies/scans as a backup
So, unless the lamination has covered or damaged some important detail, you should be fine. If you're still concerned, you can always contact the admissions office of the IIT you're joining and confirm with them directly.
All the best for your admission process!
