My date of birth is 30 August 1996 can I apply for cds2 2020

According to the eligibility criteria for CDS Exam, the applicant's age must be between 19-24 years i.e. they must be born earlier than January 2, 1996 and not later than January 1, 2001.

Since, you were born after January 2'1996 ,you are not eligible for CDS Exam.

The notification for CDS 22020 has not been released yet but if you look at the age limit of CDS 2 2019 then for this year considering your age you will be only eligible to appear for OTA that is officers training academy for that the eligibility would be not born before 2nd January 1996 and four other like Indian military academy navy and airforce age limit would be not born before 2nd January 1997 therefore you have only OTA to target
