My dream is ship captain please way for ship captain carrier option

Dear Smit, as a Ship captain you will be the head of the Ship's speed, course, position, equipment, safety procedures and not the least the ship engines. For you to have knowledge and grip on these subjects a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation, Marine Engineering, Maritime operations and technology, logistics and intermodal transportation, marine engineering systems and ship yard management. You also need to develop skills like hand to eye coordination, ability to operate ship's mechanical and navigational software and equipment, physical strength ans good communication skills. You need to clear certain examinations set by the Government of India. With every exam you get a certificate of competency first. Then, it is Second mate,  Foreign going. As you keep gaining experience on the sea, you get to write more examinations and finally you earn the Master, Foreign going certificate. Certain examinations also give you endorsements. With these experiences, certifications and endorsements you slowly get to become a ship captain. The other route is to join as an ordinary seaman or deckhand, sit for examinations after few years of experience,  you get to go back to the first route of sitting for examinations and gain certifications.
