My ews certificate is valid till march2021 and if i use it for upsc cse whose notification will be out in march itself, Will the certificate be valid till the exam process completes i.e somewhere in April 2022. (My certificate can't be renewed as i will not be able to fit in the criteria in 2021-22)

Hey! If I want to get benefit of ews for upsc 2022, when is the right time to apply for the same? I am eligible but haven't applied for it yet. Also, if I apply now, the certificate will expire in March. What should I do?

Hi,
Well the ews certificate issued by the government of India is valid for a exact period of one year and due to that it will expire in March considering the fact that you got it in the month of March. So you won't be able to take the benefits of the category certificate in the UPSC exam. It is possible to get it renewed for the current year and I will highly suggest you to do the same to get the benefits of the category.

Dear thanks for answering but unfortunately your answer is without any research and facts. I got my answer in upsc notification itself where it said that certificate on the basis of 2019-20 income is required i.e my certificate is valid for the said period. So please check and answer if you want to help otherwise careers may get ruined in some cases. Please understand and please don't get offended. Thanks
