My gate (CE) marks is 42.46 score 511 rank 7214 is there any possibility to get seat in nit?

My score is same I m also in civil and my Mark's is 42.46 with gate score 511 and and rank 7241. How is this possible that we both have exact same rank?

If your score is above 650 then it is good.you can expect NITs or IITs.
