My. jEE main rank is 17100 and if is get better rank in advanced which one will be considered for NIT selection? If advanced rank is poor?

Jee Main and advanced selection process is completely different and not simultaneously done.
Secondly, for NIT only JEE Mains are considered and not jee advanced.
Jee Mains is reserved for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
Jee advanced is only for admission into IITs.
