With a rank of 84000, there is no chance of getting into top and old NITs. Top and Old NITs provide admission to students with a Jee Mains rank of maximum 20000.

The new NITs are also difficult to crack in. They provide admission to students with a Jee Mains rank of maximum 50000.

At this juncture, your best chance of seeking an NIT is very slim. You may, however, have chances of getting admission into North East NITs such NIT Silchar, NIT Agartala, NIT Meghalaya,etc. You also have some chances of getting into NIT Patna or may be NIT Srinagar.

I would rather suggest you to look for good state government institutes that offer good placement prospects, astute teaching faculty, better infrastructure, skill oriented courses, etc instead of joining a very low ranked NIT where placement of are kinda dwindling.
