You can get new nits like nit Patna, nit Meghalaya so on.
But check whether this nits can provide good placements after btech. After all the primary purpose is good placements. And if your choice of interest lies in branches like biotechnology, metallurgy, instrumentation, geoinformatics etc, then you can expect other nits which can provide better placements. That's why apply for all three counselling rounds. Sometimes, they announce special counselling rounds for seats left after three counselling rounds finished. You should check such information regularly.
